You may remember that a couple of months back, I blogged about some lovely L'Oreal eyeshadows that really turned my head, and when I found out that L'Oreal was unveiling a palette of nude eyeshadows, well- I was all over it like hot sauce on chicken wings.
The lovely L'Oréal La Palette Nude Rose is a gorgeous collection of 10 nude shades leaning ever so slightly into the pink spectrum like the Naked 3 palette. Priced at £15/€22.99, this is probably one of the most expensive makeup items you can pick up from the likes of Boots- but for 10 decently pigmented, soft, blendable eyeshadows, it seems like quite a steal really. The possibilities with this palette are endless and when combined with a decent eyelid primer, these shadows will last the whole day, and certainly 14 hours, with minimal creasing. I didn't have much time for Naked 3- it was just a bit too pink for me- but I am very impressed indeed with this L'Oréal offering- though I still think a drugstore palette for €20+ is a little pricey!
The colours themselves are not named and at least 8 of them are very impressively pigmented, and this palette can easily take you from day to night. It's nice and compact- smaller than a Naked palette, and of course it does include a brush, but this one is actually not too shabby, one sponge tip side which I will never use, but the brush end on the other side is not too flimsy at all- I might just leave it in the palette.
I haven't seen these in Boots yet but am assured that they can be found there- if they are not there already! Because these are limited edition, if you are interested in picking these up, I would definitely not delay!
What do you think of this palette? Is it enough to tempt you?
Some nice colours there, don't think I would pay €22 though.
ReplyDeleteI think €22 is too much when there's the like of W7 palettes for €7! I love the colours though :) xxxx
ReplyDeletei think this palette looks really lovely! i am not really familiar with l'oreal make up but i think for 10 eyeshadows it is reasonably priced for them
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty shades but not sure I'd part with €23 for it, I have so many similar ones
ReplyDeleteI'm actually kind of disappointed with those swatches - the colours look way more purple toned in the pan. Besides, for 23 euros I'd rather pay extra and get better quality and more shades...
