A few weeks back, I was contacted by NewGenSkin Limited and asked if I would like to try out a product from their Rolf Stehr makeup line. Admittedly I had never heard of the brand before, but my insatiable makeup curiosity could not resist. They sent me the Multicolour Powder in 'Mediterranean Tan' and I'm going to share my thoughts on it today.
If you, like me, were not in the know about Rolf Stehr products, then let me enlighten you. Rolf Stehr himself is an acclaimed makeup artist and has developed a range of high quality paraben free products, including foundations, concealers, lipsticks, blushes etc. Rolf Stehr has built his collection on colours which underline and accentuate nature instead of unnatural shades. The vast range of Rolf Stehr cosmetics are housed in sleek, simplistic silver packaging.
The product that I had to try out was the Multicolor Powder which can be used with or without foundation. This powder, in my opinion, is a hybrid between a neutral blush and a pale, matte bronzer. There is no shimmer whatsoever in this product so it leaves a matte finish. The addition of kaolin brings a light degreasing effect by Kaolin and it also contains Aloe Vera extracts to retain moisture. What I love most about this is that this is a multiuse blush in every sense of the word- I have used this as a bronzer all over my face, a neutral blush on my cheeks, a light contour, and also, as a nude eyeshadow palette. The powder is incredibly finely milled and easy to apply and blend with minimal fall out and it feels and applies like an incredibly luxurious powder.
At €33.83, this is not a bargain basement product, but the price reflects the quality of the product. To the best of my knowledge, there is just one shade of this Multicolor Powder.
