Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Pressed Powder in Translucent Fair

Hi everybody,

I have another little review today- the Wet n Wild Beauty Benefits Fresh Effects Pressed Powder in 21040 Translucent Fair. This little treasure is fast becoming my favourite pressed powder and let me explain why.

It boasts 'mineral-enriched, silky matte finish' and 'light-diffusing properties' and promises 'powerful age prevention, brightens complexion and boosts hydration'.

It comes in a little compact which opens upwards, and even though I am not crazy about it, I think it's a bit big and cumbersome considering the amount of product in the pan, but it's sturdy, closes securely. It comes with a little brush but this brush is awful to be honest, I used it once and so many hairs fell off it. I normally use a kabuki brush anyway for setting powder so it's no biggie, I didn't buy this because of the brush.

The powder itself is silky smooth, really fine and pressed, and it applies so incredibly easily. This is a perfect mattifying powder over foundation- I like to put this on a place I think might get shiny over the course of the day. Also, I love to put some of this on my eyelids as a mattifying base before putting on eyeshadow and my eye makeup does not crease at all.

I have dry patches on my skin and I find that some pressed powders can emphasise this but this one does not do that- it's so incredibly fine that you barely know it's there, I love the way it leaves a matte finish but not a powdery or grainy finish- it has a completely smooth and silky effect.

The colour is absolutely perfect for me- unlike some other allegedly 'translucent' powders which have yellowish/pinkish undertones, this one is perfectly translucent in my opinion, it does not change the tint of my foundation in any way. I am sure that you could probably use this on it's own as a very light coverage foundation but I haven't done so and probably won't.

I am just really impressed with this powder, and to be very honest, I didn't think I would be. This is most definitely a repurchase item for me.
