NYC Mascaras (City Curls and High Definition Volume)

I love mascaras and I go through at least one a month. Even on days where I don't want to wear makeup, I almost always through on a lick of mascara just so I can see my eyelashes, I like to be able to see them. I picked these two up for €2.39 each in Superdrug a while back and I have only used both once yet but I'm quite impressed with them.

Love the colourful packaging on these mascaras. They both have different wands as you can see in the pictures. City Curls has a really curved wand and the actual mascara seems to be a thicker consistency than the High Definition Volume wand which is kind of comb shaped and it REALLY separates lashes.

The City Curls Mascara has a curved wand which really allows you to drag the wand from the roots of your lashes right up to the very tip. It leaves lashes nicely defined ish- i mean it doesn't make it look like I have spider legs for lashes, but does not define as much as the High Definition brush which really separates every single lash from the one at either side of it but I must say I didn't find it very volumising. I still loved the definition though. However, when I was applying the mascara, the brush felt really uncomfortable and spiky near the roots of my lashes and I just hate that feeling, even typing it makes me feel squirmish! I have to proceed with caution on that count!

Two black mascaras but they do very different jobs. I haven't used these too much as of yet but so far I like what I have seen.

Hope this helps xxx
