e.l.f. Studio Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter

These come in three colours (fair, light and medium) and I purchased this in the fairest shade. They retail at $3/£3.50/€4 normally but I picked this up during a 50% sale for just €2.

What e.l.f. promise:
Correct under eye problematic areas such as dark circles and bags easily and effectively! Contains vitamins A & E, chamomile, caffeine and green tea to moisturize, soothe, and tighten the skin around the delicate eye area. Blends in easily and evenly to provide a smooth and natural finish.

The packaging on this is similar to the Studio lipstains but it's perfectly effective and could potentially be a great way to carry two products together. There is a doe foot applicator on each side which is great and there is no cross contamination of product and both sides contain a decent amount of product also so it represents good value for money too.

Disappointing on both counts I'm afraid. The main reason I think is because the actual consistency of both the concealer and the highlighter is very watery and when blended, it almost melts away. The concealer side in particular is not great- i just find it doesn't conceal anything unless you apply it with a heavy hand and that's not really what I look for in a concealer. I tried this under my eyes and it only made a minimal overall difference. The highlighter side also didn't rock my world- again the formula just felt too watery or something, but I think you could work with this better than you could work with the concealer side, particularly under the eyebrows to subtly catch light.

I was disappointed with this to be honest, maybe I just got a bad one, but I really think the formula is far too watery to have any real concealing/highlighting impact.

Hope this helps xxx
