e.l.f. Studio Matte Eye Shadow in Baked Berry

These come in 10 colours and I have already purchased 1 and probably would not purchase another. They retail at $3/£3.50/€4 but I picked one up during a 50% off sale for €2.

What e.l.f. promise:
The pigment-rich color delivers a vibrant effect while minimizing fine lines. The creamy texture blends in evenly for an all over matte look. This eyeshadow provides long lasting coverage and brilliant payoff for maximum performance. Perfect for wearing alone, contouring or using as a setting powder. Brush included!

Size Comparison- Studio Cream Eyeshadow-v-Matte Eyeshadow

This loose powder comes in a tiny little pot the same size and an e.l.f. cream eyeliner pot and comes with a little sifter to minimise your chances of losing all your product if you accidently tip the jar over (it happens!). These shadows come with a little brush but to be honest, it’s a pretty useless brush, it didn’t pick up any product and was a bit too small.

I’m a bit on the fence about this product. I bought it in the colour ‘Baked Berry’. It’s easy enough to apply, I use the e.l.f. eyeshadow brush from the essentials line, and the colour lasts well, but on it’s own, I just feel like it’s kind of unremarkable, and I layer it with other colours for effect. I think i just had exceedingly high hopes for this shadow and even though it didn’t disappoint me, it didn’t really live up to my expectations.

It’s fine but I wouldn’t repurchase and unless I read an amazing review to the contrary, I wouldn’t purchase any of the other colours.

Hope this helps xxx
