e.l.f. Lip Definer and Shaper

I saw this on a blog and said I would give it a try so I picked it up from www.eyeslipsface.co.uk during one of their 50% off sales so it only cost €2, normally $3/£3.50/€4.

What e.l.f. promise:
Enhance your lips by creating a fuller more defined lip easily! One side highlights lips to create a beautiful youthful glow, while the other side defines lips for a perfect pouty look.

 Natural Side
Nude Side

Packaging:
As you can see from the pictures, this product is a double ended pencil with a natural/nude end on each side. Typical black matte studio packaging and just in case you get confused about which side is which, each of them is labelled. Both sides have separate corks- one black and one transparent.

Product:
The natural side is about ten times darker than my natural lip colour, so it doesn't look natural at all. When I tried this, I used the nude part to highlight my cupid's bow and I liked this effect, and then the natural side directly under to get a bit of a shadow and define the shape of my lips, and even though I applied is lightly and tried to blend it, it looked really dark, and I ended up wiping it off because it just looked weird. So yeah, would definitely never use the natural side again.

Verdict:
I don't usually have this to say about alot of e.l.f. products, but this is one I regret buying, I know it was only two euro so no big investment but I had high hopes for it and apart from the nude side, epic fail. Wouldn't repurchase.
